The Jumpstart Puppy Program is designed to set you and your puppy up for success and on the right track to prevent any major behavioral issues in the future. This program is recommended for puppies 8 weeks of age up to 6 months of age. We will work on every aspect of your puppy’s life to help shape a happy, confident, and obedient dog. Think of this program as K – 12 and university all in one!

Drop your pup off first thing in the morning and pick them up at the end of the day, it’s like “Doggie Daycare” with training! For dogs that need a little extra help learning their basic obedience skills, and for owner’s who would like to be a little more hands on with their dogs training, this program is a great fit!
You will work one-on-one with our skilled trainers to identify exactly what skills you would like your dog to learn and we will work on those skills each day that you drop off. During our training, your pup will work with their own personal trainer so they can create a trusting relationship that will improve their training and then pass those skills over to you to practice at home.

If you’ve been struggling to teach your dogs basic obedience skills like loose leash walking, come, sit, and stay, or if you are having more challenging behaviors like anxiety and aggression, the Immersion Board and Train program is a great fit. Our Board & Train program allows our certified trainers to lay in the difficult foundation work before transferring those skills over to you! Our Board & Train program is also a great idea if you are going out of town and would love to return home to a well-trained dog!
With the Immersion Board and Train program, your dog will be in the best hands while staying with one of our local licensed and insured boarding partners while training at our Sit Means Sit Training Facility each day. During your 5, 10, 15, or 20 days of training, we will strive to make your dog’s training fun and enjoyable while giving them the proper structure, boundaries, and leadership they desire. After your program is complete, you will receive two private lessons to learn the skills needed to work with your dog at home and a lifetime of group training classes to keep those skills fresh!

Monthly Dog Training Refresher Classes

Are you looking for additional help with your dog after training? Our monthly refreshers are a private, personalized mini-lesson for you and your pup to do just that! What we cover is up to you, whether that is working through an obedience lesson that we have already covered or if your pup develops a new quirk that you need help with, we will work with you on anything that needs to be addressed further. The lessons can occur once per month and will be scheduled during our regular training hours. Training does take time and patience, but you don’t have to do it alone with our monthly refreshers!

Adam VolzOwner & Head Trainer
As a pet lover, Adam Volz has over 15 years of experience in a family business doing pet fence installation and training. He is also a professional horse trainer and has successfully trained many sensitive, intuitive, and challenging animals. His entire family has a great love of animals.
Adam’s wife, Tess and their two children, Nathaniel and Jessa, together with their dogs Half Pint and Skye (Toy Australian Shepherds), Lemon (Golden Retriever), and Journey (Black Lab), along with some cattle dogs for their ranch and several horses make up their immediate family. He is a pro at working with animals, focusing on being in tune with your dog’s individual personalities, and training even the most timid or assertive.

I was surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes growing up on my grandparent’s farm. From the playful puppies to the wise old horses, they became my constant companions. It was there that I discovered my passion for training and understanding our furry friends.
Now, as an Assistant Trainer at Sit Means Sit, I have the opportunity to share this passion with others. I believe that every dog has the potential to become a well-behaved and happy member of their family. With patience, consistency, and structure, we can unlock that and build a strong bond between pet and owner.
